The camera snaps open on Aeront. He's breathing heavily under his armor, shield arm extended to cover Waddle Doo.

The camera jumps about. Meta is dying on the ground. Sam is stuck helplessly at Zarnoff's feet, too maimed to move. Impromptu is desperately trying to use enough Healing Spells to save everyone...

Flaring rage,

I am wearing down,
Too exhausted now.
Aeront tries to move forward, to guard another friend, but he's done too much. He can no longer move.
Caught off guard,
Unable to,
Stop his fall.
A worried expression steals across his face, though you cannot see it past his helmet.
Temper snaps,
I am free,
Worries grow.
Why do I feel so slow,
Is it something to do with where I come from?

Aeront, so used to moving in armor, never considered how it wears down one's stamina after extended use.

Aeront takes a slow step forward, his weariness evident.
